  1. buy winter tires for my car Done December 23, after weeks of my dad reminding/nagging me. I resent the almost $600 spent, but appreciate the increased comfort I feel driving on icy/snowy roads!
  2. increase my mortgage payments (by making an extra payment for the year or seeing if I can have more added to the bi-weekly payments) I finally managed to call the bank that holds my mortgage on March 2, 2012. I found out that I have quite a few options to pay back my mortgage faster: I can pay up to 15% of my mortgage amount as a lumpsum once a year, I can increase my monthly payments by 15% (this is irreversible), and I can “match a payment”, where an extra payment equivalent my last mortgage payment is taken from my account and applied toward my mortgage. In all cases these extra payments are applied to the principal, which is fabulous! I ended up increasing my biweekly mortgage payments by 15%.
  3. increase my car payments (by making an extra payment for the year or seeing if I can have more added to the bi-weekly payments) Done December 30 (I increased my bi-weekly payments by 21%).
  4. buy a GPS system Done December 24 on the early Boxing Day sales online.
  5. send out a save the date email or invitations to a Christmas party/gingerbread party/cookie exchange party (can’t decide) at my house Done October 29 via Facebook…the Christmas fête event will be on December 3!
  6. email the builder of my house regarding getting touch up paint (I was supposed to follow up on this a year ago…they may not give it to me anymore!) Done October 26…now to wait for the response!
  7. find a pretty way to mask the visible electrical cords behind my tv
  8. return the three huge cases of water sitting by my doorstep to the store I bought them from Done November 3 thanks to Ves
  9. host the regular Friday night gathering with my friends Done December 30, on the last possible Friday of the year (of course!). We ordered in food and had a very chill time. I need to do this more often.
  10. call the church back about the volunteering opportunity that I signed up for
  11. hang curtains in the living room and my bedroom (at least)
  12. develop a WordPress theme for my GNG blog
