I will be 30 on June 18, 2009 and for the past almost 29 years I have had this feeling that I’m nowhere near where I want to be with any of my accomplishments. If I’m able to do all or most of the items listed below, I’ll feel just a bit more caught up (to who? I don’t know!). I’ll keep you posted on my progress (with the hope that there will be lots to report!).
buy a houseAccomplished technically on September 17, 2008 and finalized on September 28, 2008. Blogged here.- buy a car
- host a dinner party
get my driver’s licenseAccomplished June 3, 2008—read about it here- quit my part time job
- switch to a high interest savings account (although once I knock the first four items off my list, I will have no savings to speak of!)
get my teeth whitenedDone with lackluster results- buy a year’s supply of contact lenses and use them
- wear at least mascara and lipgloss each day of the workweek
- wash face every evening (doing this five out of seven days will count as “every” for the purpose of this list)
- brush and floss twice a day (again, brushing twice, flossing zero times will count as Jummy being a good girl)
- finish a 5K run/walk in 40 minutes or less
- run a full 5K (I actually don’t think this is physically possible—marathon runners aren’t human—but it’s good to have challenges on the list, right?)
- lose 50lbs (speaking of challenges…)
- pack lunch every work day for two consecutive weeks (and then keep going!)
- eat a combination of 4 fruits and vegetables each day for 30 consecutive days (and then some!)
- get 30 minutes of aerobic exercise at least three times each week
- take iron pills daily
- take vitamins daily
- maintain groomed eyebrows, even if this means visiting an esthetician every 6-8 weeks
- complete a scrapbook
- complete a knitted object
- create a blog design
