A weekend in the life of Jummy

November 8, 2009

Why yes I am still around, despite my slipup. Like Emma reminded me, this is all for fun, though I am bit disappointed to break my nearly four year streak. I had a great weekend though: Friday night was spent with Ves, Rich and Eli, just chilling. They actually helped me come up with a blog topic that evening (the Black Friday one). Bethany Actually made my day by confirming that she has come across Bandolino shoes at Macys (in California at least), so I can’t wait for shopping time to arrive!

Saturday started off early (9:30am early!) with a pedicure (my usual Saturday morning routine – hah!): three ladies that I hadn’t seen for a couple of months and I enjoyed catching up, following it up with an early lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant. I packed my bags and spent the night at my parents’ place and watched a couple of movies with my sister (Obsessed and The Taking of Pelham 123). I spent a small part of today raking and gathering up leaves from my parents’ backyard and I’m still there, having stuck around for dinner (Jummy=no fool). I was supposed to attend Emily’s art show, but an appointment to get snow tires on the cars left me auto-less for most of the day. I’m sure the show was a huge success because the girl (and her friends) are freakin’ talented. In case you haven’t checked out her work, please visit Em’s site.

Right now I smell like my mom because no one hugs like her. I’m 30 and I’ll always love and appreciate my mom’s hugs.

If you like nice pens you might want to check out this entry of Bethany’s. If you read through to the end there might be a treat in it for you!
