You women are brilliant. I have this habit of setting myself up to fail. At the time of deciding on a goal, however, I think it all makes perfect sense...until we get to the execution of said goals.

I love your idea Emma (and your seconding of it, Lisa!). Surely I could commit to doing some of these everyday things once a day...starting tonight! :)

I second the spirit of Emma's post: for the "every day" goals, I think you could consider yourself as having met goals like these if you have incorporated them into your routine regularly, not necessarily every day. If you are doing some of them weekly or a few days a week, you've cleared the biggest hurdle of simply starting to do them. Telling yourself that you have to do them every day for a year otherwise you fail is not much of a pep talk! Don't give up before you've begun.

P.S. At the very least, don't give up on all the "every day" goals. Start washing your face tonight? :)

Can I share an idea about some of these 'every day' goals?

What if you packed yourself a tasty homemade lunch every Wednesday, for instance. Wednesday is THE DAY you do this. You can be strict with yourself, since it is just one day of the week. What if you tried that and see what happens?
