Progress

I paid a visit to a newish friend on the weekend, just to see what was new since we had last seen each other.

The windows are in, and it’s sporting some plastic wrap that’s either there to protect it from the awful weather or maybe it just hasn’t been ripped off. I like the brick exterior, and wish the entire outside would be covered in brick. Check out those icicles! I hope this cold weather won’t lead to any problems with respect to warping wood or dampness in any of the structural materials.

We also have the outside stairs and doors in! I was tempted to walk up and take a peek, but decided not to risk it (especially since I’m not supposed to go the property while they’re building or something silly like that). I may try and go by one day while they’re working and see if they’ll let me in (a little birdie who moved into her condo a few weeks ago may have done the same thing a few times).

This is my door. Best looking door on the street, if I do say so myself!

    It's looking awesome, Jummy! You should definitely take some closer peeks … just make sure the security guard has gone around the corner first!

    Yeah, definitely ask them to let you have a look around. Say you'd like to take photos as the work progresses. They're more likely to let you if you ask, then if they catch you first… LOL.

    You'll then have to get someone to take a pic of you in hard-hat and fluoro vest :)

    I bet you can't sit still watching all this unfold! I find it quite exciting watching from my computer screen… :D
