Me, them and it

I have been unbelievably self absorbed lately (some of you know this more than others), but I’ve decided to take a break from this incessant me Me ME, what am I going to DO???? that has been plaguing me and just be. I really like the sound of that.

But enough about me: my parents are celebrating 32 years of marriage today! This means my siblings and I have just three short years to plan a nice big bash to replace the one they missed out on for their 25th (we were not organized enough) and 30th anniversary (though there was a reason the latter was low-key). They celebrated by taking the day off and going car shopping. The appraisal of the van indicated that it was a write-off so they’ve been looking for the perfect (affordable) replacement since.

I wish I could share a picture of them, taken with my snazzy new camera (!!) but I haven’t had a chance to snap more than a few test pictures and I probably won’t find the time until the weekend. But hooray! I picked up my camera last Friday!
