I’m grateful for the comments on that last extremely long post and I plan to email a response to everyone this week.

There have been enough things going on to warrant an update, so here we go:

• My mom is feeling a lot better! She’s not 100% yet but the pain is manageable, she says. She’s going to a doctor today to get checked out and I guess they’ll discuss how to help her maintain her health. I think it was a bit of a scare for her (and the family if I’m honest) since when someone has a chronic condition and you see them managing it fine, you tend to forget that they deal with the effects of said condition daily. I guess these big incidences happen to remind us of that.
• They found our van! I’m surprised because I didn’t think we’d be so lucky. It was found exactly a week later, and this time it was not in good condition: in addition to being really wrecked inside, the back row of seats was removed! The van can no longer seat everyone in the family and I think this was the last straw for my dear mama: she has detached herself from the van and is more than ready to move on with her life without it. The van is being evaluated to see what it’s worth. It’s rather annoying because I’m sure its worth is much diminished after this latest episode.
• Baby Luka is still adorable: My sister and I went to see him on his 15 day birthday, exactly two weeks after I first saw him. We held him for almost an hour and a half and visited with his parents. The parents seem quite comfortable with their baby and is there anything sweeter than seeing a man hold his delicate, teeny bundle of a baby so confidently? I don’t think so!

My hopes for this week are uneventful productivity. And on the weekend, I’m going camping again, the same people as last year. There will be two new additions this time around, (one of the pint-sized variety) and my sister has decided not to go (I am bitter about this) but I’m really looking forward to it.
