Over the last four days

In the last four days I…

…Visited Baby Luka:

He’s quite adorable (although he refused to open his eyes for me while I was there). I’ve seen pictures of him with his eyes open so I can say he has dark brown eyes like his parents. He also has a cleft in his chin like they both have. I must find time to see him again soon. I was asked if I wanted to be called Jummy or Aunt Jummy and to be honest I didn’t know how to answer the question because I figure whatever I’m called will come naturally. I will let the parents know that I don’t have an aversion to having my name prefixed by ‘Aunt’ or any of its variations.

…Attended Bluesfest as a non-volunteer. On Saturday, after my shift, I stayed around to see Akon. He did not disappoint. My location was not ideal from the point of view of fondling his body as he body surfed past me. Another girl echoed my thoughts on that though, saying she would have been grossed out to touch a sweaty stranger, even if he is Akon.

Yesterday, I attended Bluesfest with my three siblings and my youngest brother’s girlfriend.

Sean Paul was the man of the hour and he rocked, playing so many of his hits that when he switched to songs off his upcoming album, I didn’t mind a bit. Both concerts that I attended were hard on my eyes due to the heavy weed smoke permeating the place. It doesn’t help that at least two of the performers that played at Bluesfest glorify weed smoking. Why does it smell so awful?

And now it’s Monday and Mondays are always rough. The fact that it’s nearly 3:30am might have something to do with the ‘roughness’ of the day.
