Can we have a round of applause for Secret Agent Josephine?

Isn’t it beautiful? The extremely talented artist behind this work is none other than the lovely Secret Agent Josephine! She runs this little contest on her blog, you see, and I entered, not thinking I’d actually have a chance of winning but I got lucky and I am February’s winner. I have wanted a cartoon version of me for as long as I’ve wanted my own domain name and this Jummy is pretty darn cute if I do say so myself. I love how she’s got the same gap between her two front teeth. If the real me looked half as put together and sexy/vampy as this Jummy, well let’s just say all my whining about a lack of a boyfriend would be hard to believe.
I can’t even express my gratitude for the hard work that SAJ put into this banner. She is a delight to work with (where by “work” I mean she did everything and I gushed and stuttered about how talented she is). She asks for pictures if needed, does some snooping on your site (she is a Secret Agent, afterall!), sends you mockups and ideas (she’s a freakin’ idea machine) and lets you have input too. Oh, and that’s the thing: this whole banner was her idea! I would never have conceived of something so cool. The font was her idea too and I love how everything just works together. That to me is true talent: being able to take the mutterings of an absent-minded woman who has no idea what she wants and make something this spectacular from that is just amazing.
So if you want someone to cartoonize you, go see SAJ! She can draw anything and in fact I’m predicting she’ll have waiting lists of people who want her work (if that isn’t currently the case). I’m already planning for when I’ll be able to ask her to draw a slimmer Jummy, a Jummy who has bought her first car, a Jummy in her new house…you get the idea!

I totally was mesmerized by the new header before I even read this post and sat there being like, That is AWESOME. Has it always been there? And then I read the post and saw that it is, in fact, new. And gorgeous. Go you.

Awesome Banner Jummy! and I’d say she did a good job of making you look as gorgeous in the picture as you do in real life – except there’s a little more sparkle to your smile. =) So for the readers out there she is just hiding behind her “excuse”, but once she gets over it – watch out world! =)
