Good afternoon!

I took the day off today to bake furiously in preparation for the Gingerbread House Making Party (GHMP) my sister and I are hosting in two days. So far today, I’ve slept in until 11am, showered, played scrabble on facebook, done one load of laundry and contemplated writing a list of the things I need to do.

Why can’t I have every Friday off from work?

Thanks for sticking around this long with me: it’s the last day of NaBloPoMo and I made it! November was a good month and guess what? You learned some things about me that you might not have known before:

  1. I drool in my sleep (proof), but only when it’s a good night’s sleep.
  2. I’m very covetuous—if someone has something and I love it, I want it. Now. And sometimes when I get it, I don’t even use it!
  3. I have stretch marks (you may have suspected for years, but you never knew until I admitted it).
  4. I’m not fashionable (again you may have suspected but now you know for sure).
  5. I am not a natural runner (to my genuine chagrin), yet I signed up to run a 5K (oh, and I want you to support me…please?).
  6. I’m easily surprised and it is very obvious.
  7. I witnessed a shoplift and it left me feeling gross. I’ve had a shoplift happen before at the store, but I had never actually seen someone take something and slip it into their clothing and take off running.

Don’t you feel so much closer to me now?

  1. Wait, did you get any baking done…?
