Make money without lifting a finger is my plan
October 14, 2007
For the first time in a very long time, I had 9 days off from the part time job.
And it was so great.
I didn’t do anything noteworthy with my evenings. In fact, despite not working any weeknights I still managed to arrive late to work every single day. It was so nice to actually go straight home after work. And knowing that if I didn’t want to go home after work, I could have decided on a whim to go shopping, or go to the library, or go for a walk while the sun was still out was nice. I didn’t do any of these but I could have. And that is the best part.
I enjoyed it so much that I’m wondering if I shouldn’t make it into a permanent thing and decide that almost 8.5 years is enough (you know, like so many around me have been saying). My sister did it half a year ago and she cherishes having her nights and evenings free, you can just tell. Unlike me, her spending is under control so the extra paycheque just meant “more to save” for her. Not quite the same situation for me.

your title makes it sound like ya got paid for that time off?
how'd ya do that? vacation time?
ya its kinda drag to work extra and not save the money
unless ya having funs of tons?

I changed the title now so people will think you're crazy for misunderstanding!
I think he's crazy! I do!
I live for the day when I will no longer be working two jobs and worrying about school. This is my LAST year and I can't wait to have days off; to have weekends or at least periods of time during the week when I will not have to be somewhere at some time. Evening time is almost becoming a foreign concept to me.
I can't wait to take full advantage when my time comes.

Is this just me, or does this post seem soooo familiar, like I've read it on this blog ten times before? ;) Maybe 2 months ago, 2 months before that, and right when your sister quit? hmmm
I personally can't wait for the summer, when I finally get evenings free again!
