Eye need a medical intervention
September 24, 2007
Hello there

Notice anything a bit off about one of my eyes?
Here’s another picture (pardon its quality):

See that bump on my eyelid, on the left? I believe it is a chalazion.
Before you accuse me of using the internet to (mis)diagnose myself, let me explain: my sister had one of these, much larger than mine, for over a year and eventually she had to go to two different doctors four times to get it removed. She described the process as pretty painless, but not for those with tendencies towards queasiness.
You see, your eyelid is frozen with a local anesthetic, and you feel like your eyeball is frozen, which is a strange feeling. Then, they pull out your eyelid really far, so far that you feel like your lid is going to detach from the rest of your eye. Then a tiny hole is poked in your lid to let the liquid drain, or sometimes they have to scrape at the chalazion by flipping the eyelid. Your eye is then covered with gauze and when you go to change the gauze you get to behold a marvelous mix of goo and blood.
I’m the girl whose eye waters when watching someone apply eyeliner so this is a very horrid thing to look forward to. However, I really don’t want it to grow to the point where it begins to weigh my entire eyelid down, and I can’t open my eye more than halfway, like it did to my sister. I don’t want to be mistaken for someone who failed Seductive Eyes 101.

Dilated pupils….? :)
Lay off the 'smack' Jooms!
Lumps! You have lumps!
Oh, Jooms, I am not alone!
Hah, this must be what you get from associating with me… Lumpina 1 and Lumpina 2!
Does it have a name yet?
LOL…I don't name them, lest get they get comfortable and try to stay for the longterm!
You're missing one eyebrow??
Ahhhhhh! Just saw the second picture!!!! MY EYE IS HURTING AND WATERING NOW. Damn!!!!! Poor you. I hate anything to do with eyes.
Oh, sorry! I forgot that you have eye issues too. I'm still shocked I managed to master contact lens wearing. And I think it's so cute that you can't use cotton swabs when someone is around either…I'm the same way…it makes me nervous!
if its an easy fix then maybe? but i doubt most people if any would notice this.
