Helping you help yourself
July 4, 2007
Shannon sent me a link to a tool for those of us that might wantneed to get in shape, learn better health habits or lose a truckload of weight. This site is SparkPeople.
I must admit, when I first read the name, my immediate thought was “Oh, relationship site!” but since everyone knows I can’t even see myself in a relationship looking as I look now, it makes sense (for me) to address this first problem of weight and its associated problems before looking into dating because my brain has been wired to believe that the way I am is not good enough to attract a guy who isn’t a fat fetishist.
I have been a SparkPeople member for three days now and I’ve signed the pledge card, mounted it on some pretty paper, and put it on my side of the bathroom mirror:

The site is really quite information-full and I have a lot of reading ahead of me. I promise my reading will be accompanied with doing too. I’m not the best at sticking to things and I’ve got some trepid feelings but I plan to make it work.

Heya. I've heard that the message boards are what got people motivated and kept them motivated. I know you're not into cooking so the recipe section wont matter but maybe you can meet some people in the same boat as you. :)
hmm maybe the excecise at work it werking?
i should weight myself?
If you want new partnership "Anything Deal Dominos Goes!", save this site to bookmarks IE..
or this
hmmmm how is it going?
my problem is I'd just get used to the note, and not notice it after a while.
WG: trepid
Hey girl, I can't wait to see your response to this….
How is your pledge going?
That is bad news best saved for its own entry…never fear, I haven't forgotten!
