Happy Mother’s day to a mother most meritorious:

I can’t even begin to enumerate all the reasons why my mother is so wonderful.  At church this girl read an amazing poem that she wrote about mothers and it had most of us crying, hopefully because we saw our mothers in the woman described in the poem.

Unfortunately, after the lovely dinner where the above pictures were taken, I had the worst fight I have ever had with my sister, and I became so enraged that I very easily reverted to my 11 year old self: not pretty.  We are ok now but it was an emotional discourse in very loud voices.  It’s funny how special days like birthdays are almost always marred by these fights but this one, after we cooled down somewhat, actually led to some new understandings about each other.
