Friend-full weekend

April 22, 2007

Amanda is almost finished with the big city, as she keeps telling us, so we went out on Friday night to celebrate (whether I was celebrating my impending release from her drunken ramblings and boychats or the completion of her education is questionable) but that is neither here nor there.  Although Miss Amanda is younger than 25, her little heart just thrills to go to the 25+ club and for that alone she is forever in my good books.  Amanda is extremely fun to go to a club with because she claims she’s only funny when she’s consuming alcohol and she consumes a lot of alcohol when she’s there so spectators are guaranteed a good time (I have a feeling she tones down her wildness for us older folk).    Here’s a rather innocent looking picture of her…if only this picture were an accurate rendering (sadly it’s a very accurate rendering of yours truly, including the extremely comely stomach roll and the arm that could feed a family of six for a week:

I convinced Nora to join in the festivities and that girl’s dance moves were hot!  She put the rest of us to shame on the dance floor, let me tell you (please note my perpetually askew glasses, yet another reason I need to get myself new lunettes):

Friday started off the friend-full weekend, and I was able to hang out with Rich and Ves (my married friends who put up with my incoherent ramblings so well that I wonder if it might be a paid position for them) on Saturday and Vera (who claims she’s going to update her blog regularly…hah!) today.

And now I’m home, my good deed of the day (driving my sister to and from work) complete, and Sunday evening stretches before me, free of duties.  My submissions for MIMI have been submitted, with the exception of two paragraphs that may be interpolated into one of the articles (based in large part on this entry).  I keep patting myself on the back because these articles are normally expected by the end of the month and here we are, the week before and I’m done!

I will be interviewing a life coach for my Life Tips Daily website, and I was wondering if you had any questions that you would like to ask a life coach.  If so, please leave them in my comments and I’ll be sure to ask them!

Sadly, I've grown to love you so much since my time in the city began that I don't think you will ever be released from my drunken ramblings and boychats! You're just such a good go-to person that I've come to rely on you!
