Christmas is coming, ready or not
December 12, 2006
I had some success with my shopping this weekend, coming across some perfect gifts for my mom. Sadly, they were both in the wrong size but since they were on sale, I bought them and now I’ll have to go to another location of the store and find the right sizes, thus preserving my sale price and hopefully finding what I need. I will be spending every lunch hour this week on shopping excursions. I realize that this doesn’t differ much from the way I usually spend my lunch hours but please note that I’m shopping for others, not myself this time!
I’m having some difficulty coming up with a gift for my dad, but I’m trying not to stress or worry about it, hoping that I’ll come across the right gift soon.
I’m having a gift exchange with some friends and I decided to be the organizer of the process: everyone had to write down five things within an agreed-upon price that they wanted. Everyone draws a name and you buy for that person. Plus, you also have to buy them an approximately $5 gift that is non-candy as well, so that way the recipient gets one gift that they want, and one that is a suprise. Everyone’s list ended up being mainly gift cards so it’s really more of a gift card exchange but we do have that mystery gift to look forward to.
I’d say I’m about 48% done with my general shopping and wrapping, but 90% done with my stocking stuffer shopping and wrapping.

Great gift exchange plan!
how are the shipments to the us holding up? juh+
