Short and sweet nothings

November 25, 2006

Great news:  I’ve arrived home safe and sound.

The plane rides were quite smooth and I was comfortable [tired?] enough to fall asleep on every plane that I got on in the past week.  I think my fear of flying is abating with every trip I take.  I feel less like each flight will be my last and I can even imagine planning to go away somewhere where I might have to board a plane to get there.

[Are you as sick of the work/trip-related reports as I am?]

It’s five days before November 30, when two things are supposed to occur:

  • My parents get back from their trip!
  • My Christmas gifts are all bought

I’m sure that the first item will happen right on time but the second?  I’ll have to bust my hump this weekend to get at least halfway into demolishing this item so that means another busy day of errands, this time ones that are related to shopping for others.

While I was gone, I missed out on major sales at Michaels.  They had five different coupons for the week!  My sister said that when she saw the midweek flyer, she knew I’d be crushed.  And I am.

  1. Why do you have such a fear of flying? When you were talking about going to Baltimore, the cost of flying seemed ultimately more prohibitive than any mention of a fear of flying.
