Things went well today and the results received were better than we had expected.  Thank you, God!  Now comes the healing process and the hope that my mom will listen to the doctor who spoke to her somewhat sternly and take what he advised to heart (hehehe, there’s a pun in there).

And thanks to you all for your prayers and positive thoughts:  they were appreciated.  This incident was a wakeup call for all of us.

The bummer is that situations like this, due to the stress no doubt,  have a way of briinging out the absolute worst in the family members.  I cannot count how many fights I got into (and am still getting into!) with my sister and my dad.  It’s unfortunate but that seems to be how we get through stressful times.  It’s not healthy at all.

I told my mom that I hope the next time we’re all in a hospital is for the birth of a grandchild.  I’ve got my fingers crossed.
